1 pound flank steak or flat iron steak
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons honey
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Mix marinade ingredients well, pour over flank steak placed in plastic bag. Let stand 4 to 24 hours in the refrigerator, turning often to distribute marinade.
When ready to cook, remove from marinade and place over hot coals or broil until done to your liking.

Note: This steak is best served rare or medium-rare and sliced very thinly across the grain.
