2 pounds stew meat
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup sliced onion
1 can diced tomatoes with juice
4 to 5 chunked potatoes, red or russet, with skins on
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup bloody mary mix or tomato juice
1/2 cup wine
1 to 2 cups beef broth
4 tablespoons minute tapioca
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup bread crumbs

Put all ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low heat for 8 to 9 hours.
