Bar:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
Dash salt
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups crisp rice cereal

Frosting:
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar

Line an 11 x 7 x 2-inch pan with foil or wax paper.
Combine granulated sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook and stir just until sugar is dissolved. Blend in peanut butter, stir in cereal. Pat evenly into prepared pan. In small saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. Remove from heat. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar; beat smooth.
Remove cereal mixture from pan. Peel off foil. Spread top with frosting. Chill. Cut in small bars.
