30 Oreo cookies, crushed
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (12 ounce) can (1-1/2 cups) evaporated milk
2/3 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chopped peanuts, if desired
1 (9 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed
Additional Oreo crumbs or nuts

For crust, combine Oreo crumbs and butter. Pat into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Spoon ice cream over the crust and smooth evenly. Freeze.
In a large saucepan, combine powdered sugar, evaporated milk, chocolate chips and butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 8 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool 1 hour.
Pour over ice cream and add chopped peanuts, if desired. Top with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with Oreo crumbs or nuts.
